Better toughness than S30V. Easier to machine and grind. Niobium refinement improves edge stability. Takes better polish. Industry favorite for premium folders.

Slightly less edge retention than S30V. Premium pricing. Still difficult to sharpen. Grinds slowly.
Grinding Notes
Grinds slightly easier than S30V due to niobium. Still requires ceramic belts and patience. Cool grinding critical. Better machinability is noticeable.
Polishing Notes
Takes excellent polish - better than S30V. Niobium carbides are finer. Popular for high-polish custom folders. Beautiful satin finish.
