Edge retention is moderate. Being replaced by 14C28N in many applications. Not as refined as modern steels.
Grinding Notes
Grinds easily. Forgiving steel to work with. Standard aluminum oxide belts work fine. Good choice for learning.
Polishing Notes
Takes good polish. Moderate chromium content makes finishing straightforward. Good for production knives.
