✓ Pros

Best corrosion resistance of any knife steel. Will not rust even in saltwater. Good toughness. Unique nitrogen-hardened matrix instead of carbon.

✗ Cons

Expensive and hard to find. Grinds slowly. Not as hard as high-carbon steels. Requires specific heat treatment.

Grinding Notes

Grinds slowly - tough and abrasion resistant. Ceramic belts recommended. Keep cool to avoid work hardening. Requires patience.

Polishing Notes

Takes good polish but requires more work than typical stainless. Bright white finish characteristic of nitrogen steels.
