✓ Pros
Best of both worlds - combines AEB-L toughness with improved edge retention. Excellent stainless properties. Great all-around performance. Easy heat treatment.
✗ Cons
Still not as wear-resistant as high-carbide steels. Premium pricing. Relatively new steel with limited long-term field testing.
Grinding Notes
Grinds similarly to AEB-L but slightly slower due to vanadium carbides. Still very easy to work with. Cool grinding recommended.
Polishing Notes
Takes excellent polish. Very fine grain structure. Great for both satin and mirror finishes.
