✓ Pros

Outstanding balance of properties. Takes a very fine edge. Excellent for kitchen knives and outdoor use. Much improved over 13C26.

✗ Cons

Not as hard as high-end powder steels. More expensive than budget stainless options.

Grinding Notes

Grinds very well with ceramic or aluminum oxide belts. Cool grinding is important to maintain hardness. Can be ground to very thin edges without chipping.

Polishing Notes

Takes an excellent mirror polish. Responds well to buffing compounds. Stainless finish is beautiful and corrosion resistant.
